Alexander S. Levine is a rising senior at Fordham University in New York City, where he studies International Political Economy and Chinese. During 2012 Alexander completed six months of intensive Mandarin language study in China at East China Normal University, Shanghai and Middlebury College School-Capital Normal University, Beijing. During the spring of 2013 Alexander completed a Mandarin-language teaching fellowship with the New York-based non-profit, the Global Language Project, where he taught Chinese to disadvantaged public school students at three elementary schools in New York City. 

At Fordham University, Alexander is the International Affairs Editor for the Fordham Political Review and the Modern Languages Representative to the Fordham College Academic Dean’s Council.

Before Alexander’s internship at ICS began, he completed a one-month Hindi language and Culture program in India through the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. During the course of his internship at ICS, Alexander acquired knowledge about India and China from the unique perspectives of Indian scholars.
