Profile of the Lead Speaker

 Executive Dean, Institute of Advanced Studies for Sustainability, Renmin University of China; Executive Dean, Institute of Rural Reconstruction of China, Southwest University, PRC. He is member of State Consultant Committee of Environment Protection, Vice Chair-Person of China Society of Agricultural Economics, and Deputy Secretary-General, China Macroeconomic Research Foundation. He is a renowned expert on social-economic sustainable development and rural issues, especially in policy studies on current affairs, macro-economic, geo-strategy of south-south cooperatives, and long-term inclusive growth.

Professor Wen has been rewarded as: State Council’s Special Award Expert (1998), The 1st Rank S&T Award by the Ministry of Agriculture (1999), CCTV Annual Award of Top 10 Economic Talents (2003), The 1st Rank Award of Teaching & Education by Beijing Municipal Government, etc.
