CHINA REPORT WORKSHOP
HOW TO PREPARE YOUR RESEARCH FOR ACADEMIC PUBLISHING
How do you construct a strong and original argument?
How do you critically engage with the work of other scholars?
How do you write for a specific readership?
How do you structure your article?
How do you revise your article on the basis of reviewer feedback?
How can you edit your own article to eliminate language errors and improve readability?
These and other questions occur to most research scholars, particularly near the start of their academic careers. With career advancement and even award of doctoral degrees dependent on publishing, training specifically in writing for academic journals has become increasingly important.
CHINA REPORT is organizing a workshop to address this need. This will be an interactive, hands-on exercise, in which participants will get the opportunity to share their research work with others, and receive guidance on formulating their ideas, writing, referencing, revising, editing and other aspects of preparing their work for publication.
